The Kentucky Association of Chiropractors gathered in Lexington, September 20-21, 2025, for our 109th Annual Convention. With 12 hours of approved continuing education, a bustling exhibitor hall, and an outstanding lineup of speakers, the weekend delivered exactly what our members have come to expect: knowledge, connection, and inspiration.
Golf Outing at Lakeside
The weekend kicked off with a friendly round of golf at Lakeside Golf Course in Lexington, where nine participants came out to enjoy the sunshine, camaraderie, and competition. Congratulations to Jack Barnes from Radiation Services, who walked away as the winner of this year’s outing. The golf event added an extra layer of fun and fellowship to the convention experience, bringing colleagues together outside the classroom.

This year’s program featured a powerful lineup of presenters:

Dr. Bill Moreau – Concussion Evaluation and Management (2 CEs)
With extensive experience in sports medicine and chiropractic care, Dr. Bill Moreau delivered a course on concussion evaluation and management. Attendees learned standardized assessment protocols, return-to-play guidelines, and strategies for managing cervicogenic components of concussion. The session included case studies and practical instruction, equipping doctors with evidence-based tools to confidently care for athletes and other patients with head injuries.
Dr. Kevin Wong – Mastering the Feet, Ankles, Shoulders and Ribs the Wong Way (4 CEs)
Dr. Kevin Wong led a highly interactive four-hour session that took attendees through the extremities and beyond, starting at the feet and working up through the body. With a focus on the importance of foot biomechanics in overall stability, Dr. Wong guided participants through hands-on adjusting techniques, gait analysis, and rehabilitation strategies. Attendees left with practical tools to evaluate, adjust, and support patients with common conditions affecting the feet, ankles, shoulders, ribs, and upper extremities.

Thank You to Our Lunch Sponsor
A special thank-you goes to Fortune Law Firm for generously sponsoring lunch during the convention. Their support provided not only a delicious meal, but also an opportunity for attendees to relax, recharge, and connect with one another between sessions.

Logan Alumni Dinner
Another highlight of the weekend was the annual Logan alumni and friends dinner, held this year at Sedona Taphouse. Alumni enjoyed reconnecting over a shared meal, celebrating both professional milestones and long-standing friendships. This tradition continues to strengthen ties among Logan graduates within the Kentucky chiropractic community.

Dr. Aaron Welk – Lumbar Magnetic Resonance Imaging Review (2 CEs)
Dr. Aaron Welk, a board-certified chiropractic radiologist, provided a detailed review of lumbar spine MRI interpretation. His two-hour course gave attendees a deeper understanding of disc pathology, spinal degeneration, and soft tissue findings commonly seen in practice. Through technical review and case studies, chiropractors gained confidence in reading MRIs, identifying when advanced imaging is warranted, and applying findings to improve clinical decision-making.
Dr. Bill Moreau – Navigating the Maze: Radiculopathy, Discopathy, Stenosis, and Myelopathy (2 CEs)
In a second two-hour session, Dr. Moreau tackled complex neurological and spinal conditions often encountered in chiropractic practice. He clarified the differences between radiculopathy, discopathy, stenosis, and myelopathy, while emphasizing red flag recognition and differential diagnosis. Doctors learned practical pathways for when to treat conservatively, when to co-manage, and when to refer, strengthening their ability to navigate challenging cases with confidence.

Dr. Perry Williams – The Science of Chiropractic (2 CEs)
Local to Winchester, Kentucky, Dr. Perry Williams brought both clinical expertise and international sports chiropractic experience to his presentation, The Science of Chiropractic. He explored the latest research on how chiropractic adjustments impact musculoskeletal and neurological health, blending science with practical application. Attendees examined evidence-based benefits for pain relief, mobility, and overall well-being, gaining insight into the physiological mechanisms that make chiropractic care such a powerful tool.
Beyond the sessions, the convention provided space for networking, catching up with colleagues, and connecting with exhibitors and sponsors who help support the profession. The energy in Lexington reflected both the tradition of 109 years of chiropractic leadership in Kentucky and the excitement of where we are headed next.
We are grateful to every doctor, speaker, exhibitor, and supporter who made this convention such a success. Together, we continue to strengthen chiropractic in Kentucky and beyond.
