The American Chiropractic Association has long advocated for Medicare modernization, but previous efforts stalled at the end of the 2024 legislative session. Now, there’s a new opportunity to make meaningful change!

On January 16, bipartisan legislation was reintroduced in both the U.S. House and Senate to expand Medicare-covered services provided by doctors of chiropractic. The Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act (H.R. 539 / S. 106) aims to remove barriers to care and reimburse chiropractors to the level of their scope within their state. This allows seniors and other beneficiaries greater access to chiropractic’s evidence-based, non-drug approach to pain management and musculoskeletal health.

This critical bill is led by Reps. Gregory Steube (R-Fla.) and John Larson (D-Conn.) in the House and Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) in the Senate, with support from a growing list of bipartisan co-sponsors.

Now is the time to act! We need your help to ensure this bill gets the attention it deserves. In the last Congress, 180 House members and 14 Senators signed on as co-sponsors. Let’s build on that momentum! Contact your congressional leaders today and urge them to support H.R. 539 / S. 106. Your voice—and your patients’ voices—can make a difference in expanding access to chiropractic care for millions of Americans.
