LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 20, 2026) The Kentucky Association of Chiropractors (KAC) has honored Dr. James Taylor of Middlesboro as its 2025 Chiropractor of the Year. Dr. Taylor was selected by a vote of the KAC membership in the fall of 2025 and formally received the award at the KAC 110th Annual Convention, held September 26-27, 2026.

The 2025 selection marked the first year the KAC used electronic voting for this award, a change designed to give more members the opportunity to participate. The updated process resulted in the award being presented at the following year’s convention.

A second-generation chiropractor and graduate of Texas Chiropractic College, Dr. Taylor has practiced for 44 years and has been a KAC member since 1981. He continues to see patients three days a week and has no plans to retire.

Dr. Taylor’s service extends well beyond his practice. He has served as a board member of Servolution Health Services, sponsored youth sports teams, supported local football camps, and served as an elder at First Christian Church. He has also been active with the Middlesboro Tree Board and the Chamber of Commerce, and has provided healthcare guidance to a local Boy Scout troop.

Dr. Taylor credits his father’s example, and his early advice to join the KAC, as central to his career. While honored by the recognition, he says his greatest satisfaction comes from helping his patients, and he is grateful for the KAC’s work to advance chiropractic in Kentucky.
