Milestone Event Marks Growth for the Chiropractic Profession in Kentucky

Campbellsville, KY – On May 9, 2025, history was made as Campbellsville University conferred Doctor of Chiropractic degrees to the inaugural graduating class of its chiropractic program—becoming the first institution in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to offer and graduate students from a program of this kind.

Held on the university’s main campus in Campbellsville, the commencement ceremony recognized the hard work and dedication of students who are now fully equipped to serve patients and communities as licensed chiropractors. Among the many supporters in attendance was Dr. Rachel Wendt, Executive Director of the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors (KAC), to celebrate this landmark achievement and offer support on behalf of the profession.

“Seeing the first class of chiropractic doctors graduate right here in Kentucky is a powerful reminder of how far our profession has come,” said Dr. Wendt. “These students are not only making history—they’re becoming the future of chiropractic care in our state.”

The commencement speaker, CU Board of Trustees Chairperson Dr. H. Keith Coffey, emphasized the value of service in his address, reminding graduates that “greatness is found in serving others.” His words resonated deeply with the university’s mission and the core values of the chiropractic profession.

Campbellsville University’s Chiropractic program was established with a vision to develop principled, patient-centered doctors who can meet the growing demand for conservative, drug-free healthcare. The KAC applauds the university’s commitment to education, excellence, and innovation in chiropractic. The Kentucky Association of Chiropractors extends its warmest congratulations to these new doctors and welcomes them into the profession with pride.
