__________
What’s happening: It has been brought to our attention that Infinedi is currently performing maintenance on their system.
Why this matters: During this maintenance, if you are still submitting your claims, some EHR systems may show a claim as “submitted” even though Infinedi did not actually receive it or send it on to the insurance company.
What we recommend: If you use Infinedi as your clearninghouse, you may want to consider holding your claims for a day or two, or until you hear further from KAC or Infinedi directly.
We will share an update as soon as we have more information.
If you have questions in the meantime, please reach out to us at kac@thekac.org.
Statement from Infinedi on 6/19/2026:
“On Wednesday June 17th we discovered a cyber threat actor had compromised our systems; we immediately assembled a team of industry experts to secure our systems and are working on restoring normal operations. The privacy and security of our client’s data is our prime concern. At this point we do not know how long our systems will be off line but are aiming for restoration in the next two days. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
Infinedi also noted that their customer service database is housed on the affected servers and has been shut down as part of their security measures. This would explain why customers have not received email updates regarding the situation.

InfinEDI Operational Update: 06-22-2026 10:24 CST
We are pleased to report continued progress in the restoration of InfinEDI services.
Effective today, inbound claim file acceptance has resumed, and claim processing operations are being brought back online. Our teams have been working around the clock alongside cybersecurity, forensic, and technology specialists to safely restore critical services while maintaining the integrity and security of our environment.
As claim processing resumes, clients should be aware that access to claim processing results through the InfinEDI portal may not be available until later today as additional systems are returned to service.
Due to the temporary interruption in operations, a backlog of files has accumulated. Those files are currently being processed, and it may take several days for the system to fully catch up. Our processing teams are actively monitoring throughput and prioritizing the efficient handling of all pending transactions.
We understand the importance of timely claims processing to your practice and your patients. Restoring these services safely and responsibly remains our highest operational priority.
We appreciate your patience, support, and understanding as we continue to make significant progress toward full system restoration. Additional operational updates will be provided as major milestones are achieved.
Thank you for your continued trust in InfinEDI.

Operational Update 06-23-2026, 12:49 PM CST
Good morning,
We are pleased to report continued progress in the restoration of InfinEDI services.
Yesterday, InfinEDI successfully processed a full day of claim submissions, and those transactions are now being transmitted to payers. This represents a significant milestone in our recovery efforts and demonstrates the continued restoration of our core processing environment.
We expect to return to full payer transmission operations today as additional systems and services are brought back online.
Our website is also being restored and is expected to be available today. While most website functionality will be operational, a limited number of features may remain unavailable as we complete final testing and validation. Those functions will be restored as soon as they have been fully reviewed and approved for production use.
Our phone system continues to operate in a limited capacity. While clients can reach our team, some phone features remain unavailable at this time. We expect the remaining phone system functionality to be restored later today.
The processing backlog created during the interruption continues to be worked aggressively. Our teams are monitoring system performance, processing accumulated transactions, and validating restored services as they are returned to operation.
Our Enrollment and Implementation Team ‘s systems are not operational as of today, but they will hopefully be back online in the next 1-2 days.
Throughout this recovery effort, our primary focus has remained the safe, secure, and responsible restoration of services. We continue to work closely with our technology, cybersecurity, and recovery specialists to ensure that each component is thoroughly reviewed before returning to full production operations.
We sincerely appreciate the patience, support, and confidence our clients have shown throughout this process. Additional operational updates will be provided as major milestones are achieved.

InfinEDI, LLC-Operational Update: 06-24-26, 11:58 AM CST
Good Afternoon,
Our teams continue to make significant progress in restoring and optimizing all InfinEDI systems. We appreciate your patience and support as we work through the final stages of recovery and restoration.
Current Status Updates
Website Services
Website functionality continues to be restored and enhanced throughout the day. Additional features are being brought online on an hourly basis as testing and validation are completed.
Accounting Systems
Our accounting platform is currently being brought back online. We expect the system to be substantially operational today and fully restored by the close of business tomorrow.
Claims Processing
Claims processing remains active and productive. The backlog continues to shrink significantly each day as our teams process large volumes of incoming claims while simultaneously working through accumulated transactions.
Payer Transmission Services
Our payer transmission systems are active and transmitting claims successfully. A small number of payer connections require encryption key resets, and those updates are being completed today.
Enrollment Services
Our enrollment system is online and operational. Enrollment requests are once again being processed through normal workflows.
Phone System
Our phone system has been fully restored. In addition, voicemail and message-taking capabilities have been returned to service, allowing clients to leave messages as normal.
Payer Reports
Payer reports are once again being received from payers. While report delivery remains slower than normal due to industry processing backlogs, we expect report turnaround times to improve steadily as overall claim volumes normalize and backlogs continue to clear.
Yesterday marked another major milestone as we successfully processed and transmitted a full day of production claims. Each day brings measurable progress toward complete operational normalization.
Our goal remains to have all customer-facing systems fully restored and operating under normal conditions by the close of business on Friday, with Saturday serving as our contingency target if additional time is required. While some internal and backend systems will continue to be restored, replaced, or enhanced beyond that date, we expect our clients to experience normal day-to-day operations once the customer-facing restoration efforts are complete.
We remain focused on restoring all services to normal operating levels as quickly and securely as possible. Our technical teams, security partners, and operational staff continue to work around the clock to ensure system stability, security, and performance.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.

InfinEDI Operational Update: June 25, 2026, 11:26 AM CST
We are pleased to report that InfinEDI continues to make significant progress toward the complete restoration of all systems. Nearly all customer-facing services are now fully operational, and our team has begun shifting its primary focus to the remaining backend infrastructure restoration and system enhancements. These remaining activities are expected to continue over the next week and should have little to no impact on client operations.
Today’s Operational Updates
- E-Pay System: Our E-Pay system will return to full operational status today.
- Payer Reports: Payer reports continue processing through the remaining backlog and are expected to be fully caught up by the close of business today.
- Payer Transmission System: Our payer transmission system is fully operational and processing normally.
- Claims Processing: The claims backlog has been completely processed. We continue to experience exceptionally high daily claim volumes as clients transmit accumulated claims. As a result, processing times may remain slightly extended for the next few days until submission volumes normalize.
- HNS Network: The HNS network connection has been fully restored and is operating normally.
- Analytical Portal: Our Analytical Portal has been fully restored and is available to clients.
As we approach the completion of customer-facing system restoration, our teams will continue working diligently on backend infrastructure improvements, system optimization, and additional security enhancements designed to further strengthen the reliability and resilience of the InfinEDI platform.
We remain on target to complete restoration of all customer-facing systems by the end of this week while continuing backend restoration efforts into next week.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, confidence, and support throughout this recovery process. Thank you for the trust you continue to place in InfinEDI as your clearinghouse partner.
If you have any questions, or receive any communications from the Threat Agent, please contact: incidentsupport@infinedi.net and disregard their messages.

InfinEDI Operational Update 06-26-26, 3:35PM CDT
Good Morning,
Today, we are pleased to report that InfinEDI has substantially restored our client-facing operational systems following the recent cybersecurity incident.
Over the past several days, our technology team, external cybersecurity specialists, forensic investigators, and recovery partners have worked continuously to safely restore services while ensuring the integrity and security of our environment. Throughout this process, our guiding principle has remained clear: restore services safely, not simply quickly.
At this time, the core operational systems supporting our clients have been restored and are functioning normally. While our teams will continue working through remaining processing backlogs and completing enhancements behind the scenes, the vast majority of client-facing services have returned to normal operation.
We will continue to monitor all systems closely and make ongoing improvements as part of our long-term commitment to security, reliability, and operational excellence.
On behalf of everyone at InfinEDI, I would like to sincerely thank our clients, business partners, and industry colleagues for the patience, understanding, and encouragement you have shown throughout this recovery effort. Your support has allowed our teams to focus on restoring services the right way while maintaining the standards you have come to expect from InfinEDI.
I would also like to recognize the extraordinary dedication of our employees and the external cybersecurity, forensic, privacy, and technology professionals who worked tirelessly alongside our team throughout this event. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment were instrumental in restoring operations safely and responsibly.
Unless significant operational changes occur, this will be our final scheduled Operational Update. Should there be any important operational developments requiring client notification, we will communicate those promptly. Any future compliance-related communications will continue to be provided separately as appropriate.
Thank you for your continued trust in InfinEDI. We remain committed to serving as your trusted clearinghouse partner and to continually strengthening the systems and services that support your organization every day.
Sincerely,
Brad Cost
