Earlier this November, Dr. Sanda Crnkic, President of the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors (KAC), Dr. Kate Baker, KAC First Vice President, and Dr. Rachel Wendt, KAC Executive Director, represented Kentucky’s chiropractic community at the annual ChiroCongress convention in Denver, Colorado.
The event provided an invaluable platform for state association leaders and chiropractors to connect, collaborate, and strategize on the future of the profession. For the KAC team, it was an opportunity to strengthen relationships with peers from across the nation, meet potential speakers to bring fresh perspectives to Kentucky’s chiropractic events, and discuss pressing challenges faced by chiropractors and associations alike.
“The insights and connections we gained at ChiroCongress will undoubtedly enhance our ability to serve Kentucky chiropractors,” shared Dr. Crnkic. “From networking with colleagues to exploring innovative approaches to advocacy, it was a productive and inspiring experience.”

The convention highlighted critical issues affecting the chiropractic profession, such as regulatory changes and workforce challenges, while providing state associations with essential resources and fostering networking opportunities to build relationships nationwide.
Dr. Baker noted, “The exchange of ideas and resources at ChiroCongress helps ensure that chiropractors in Kentucky remain informed and prepared to navigate both state and national trends.”
Dr. Wendt emphasized the importance of collaboration at such events, saying, “Building strong alliances and sharing best practices with other associations enables us to stay at the forefront of advocacy and education for our members.” The team was able to reconnect with our favorite vendors and meet a few new supporters!
During the convention, Dr. Wendt engaged with national organizations such as The Summit and Chiropractic Future. She currently serves as Chiropractic Future chair through the remainder of 2024. Additionally, she was elected to the ChiroCongress Board of Directors as Treasurer, continuing her service on the board, which began in 2018. As one of Dr. Wendt’s duties, she participated in the Pie in the Face to raise money for Chiropractic Future. Kristi Hudson was the highest bidder. Check out the video to see the amazing moment!
